Annotation from assembly GCA_029618815.1, WGS project JAQOZT01. This is from the Korean Pyeongchang K18 strain sequenced by Kim et al., 2024. The CYPome was annotated by Prof. Juil Kim (Kangwon National University) and is provided here with minor modifications.

There are 104 manually curated and named sequences, including one full length pseudogene.

A FASTA file of the CYPome can be downloaded here.

The distribution of genes by CYP clan is tabulated here.

H. assulta, in contrast to its closely related highly polyphagous H. armigera, is a herbivorous specialist pest on Solanaceae, particularly hot pepper and tobacco.

Compared to H. armigera, all genes of the CYP340H subfamily are absent except CYP340H2. Two genes (CYP6AB9 and CYP321A14) are recently duplicated in H.assulta. CYP6AE14 and CYP6AE18 recently duplicated in H. armigera are absent in H.assulta.
